November 29th marks the 1 year anniversary of the launch of the site that you are reading right now. CastMedium has come a long way since its inception, but it is surprising how close it is to the original concept as well. The site was born out of an idea of offering recaps of podcast episodes that would provide context for the discussion within. To this day, that is still the cornerstone of what CastMedium is about.
There have been many significant moments for the site over this past year, and most of them are due to the games-related podcasting community at large. So many have been encouraging, appreciative, and willing to participate in our various features. I started this site alone, and there are now 4 other gents with a similar passion for podcasts who work alongside me. This would not have been possible without recognition by those who are already established in this field.
If you have been visiting since the beginning, you know how much the site has changed. I have an obsessive desire to improve, and that results in an ever-morphing site. See for yourself:
So, today marks the launch of another significant update to the design of the site. While still evolutionary, it will hopefully improve the site experience. I can’t promise to not touch it at all, but this iteration should be around for a while. Don’t be surprised if some more new things pop up over the next few months though.
