This week’s DGR is a duet with Moe out in San Diego on business. The show starts off with Drunk Dials, including a question about how secret they keep their drunken audio escapades at their day jobs. This leads to a hilarious story from John about the time his boss found a rather embarrassing picture of him. The mailbag bring stories of hardware crashes and confused PSPgo customers.
The reviews segment starts off with the sequel to DGR’s game of the year from last year, Left 4 Dead 2. John agrees with the sentiment that the game is a good bit harder than the first, but still finds it enjoyable as an experience that builds off of the first game. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the second review game for the week and John says that this is also a great game, but uses a phrase that has been thrown around a lot in that Nintendo is “reselling us our childhood”.
The feature presentation for the week is an interview with Andrew from Aetherbyte Studios who recently released an updated version of Berzerk called Insanity for the Turbo Duo. He says that after this game, he plans on doing a retro collection as well as possibly an RPG. 5 Things closes out the show as usual with talk of Modern Warfare 2′s record sales and 3D Dot Game Heroes coming to the US.
