It’s just the usual 3 hosts this week and what you’ve been playing starts with Anthony explaining the shortcomings of Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition on Wii. He has also been playing Left 4 Dead 2 which he thinks is better than Left 4 Dead 1 in every way.
After a brief discussion about Assassins Creed: Bloodlines on PSP, Arthur and Tyler share their thoughts on Assassin’s Creed 2, Arthur especially is very impressed by it. This leads to some debate about game of the year, and Anthony worries that more recent games will get picked purely because they are fresh in people’s minds. Modern Warfare 2 is up next, all three of the guys have finished the single player campaign now. Some spoiler discussion follows after an agreement is reached that the first Brazilian level is poorly executed.
This week’s topic is about disappointments of the year. Tyler starts things off lamenting Grins downfall and lackluster games after the strong start with Bionic Commando: Rearmed. From a personal standpoint, the guys seem to be most disappointed with the amount of layoffs and studios closing down throughout this year. Arthur is unhappy with Wii owners who didn’t support several very good games that have been released for the system in 2009 and a users disappointment in games journalists sparks a debate about how the industry is covered online.
