For this week’s first segment, Matt Helgeson is joined by Sega Associate Brand Manager Wyman Jung to discussion the new Alien vs. Predator title under development by Rebellion. Wyman says that unique multiplayer features like several survivor modes will really set the game apart from other similar titles. He also reveals that the game’s storyline will not be tied to any previous movies from either franchise.
In the second section, Matt welcomes Andy McNamara and Matt Miller to talk about Assassin’s Creed 2. Both agree that parts of the game that they were skeptical on, such as the role of your villa, turned out to be well implemented. Andy notes that although there are still a few issues, the combat feels much more fluid and fun than the repetitive counter-kill action in the first game.
For the last segment, Tim Turi, Jeff Cork, and Dan Ryckert join Matt to discuss New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Everyone seems to agree that the game is a much different experience in single or multiplayer, but both are equally fun. The talk closes out with Matt asking where everyone would rank the new game in line with past 2D Mario titles, to which all 3 answered that it would be right behind Mario 3 and Super Mario World.
