This week’s show starts off with an entertaining story of John’s recent trip to Chuck E Cheese. Next up was an extended Drunk Dial segment, including a trio of hilarious voice mails from the same highly inebriated caller. Because of the backlog of voicemails, the DGR crew skips over the emails this week.
The review segment this week kicks off with Pinball Heroes for the PSP, which all three guys seem to be a little cold on. Excitebike: World Rally for WiiWare however has the complete opposite reaction, being highly praised all around despite its lack of local multiplayer. Talk of Modern Warfare 2 closes out the current reviews as Hilden praises the game but says the online multiplayer is filled with a lot of the same type of deplorable people as the first game. The retro review this week is Supercross 3D for the Jaguar, and John can’t say enough negative things about it.
Moving into the Feature Presentation for the week, the guys discuss a few newly-released independent Dreamcast games which is a bit of a mixed bag. Five things helps round out the show, beginning with Hilden’s intent to buy Final Fantasy XIII, although Moe and John are less than enthusiastic. Talks of recent banned Xbox 360s showing up on Craigslist leads to the guys coming to the consensus that the console is almost worthless without Xbox Live.
Covered games and topics: Chuck E Cheese, Pinabll Heroes, Excitebike, Modern Warfare 2, Dreamcast, Final Fantasy, Xbox Live
