Moving onto the news, EA is cutting 1500 jobs and is shuttering all projects that are not projected to be huge sellers. This is bad news for all of us who have been enjoying the abundance of original games coming out of the publisher over the past couple years. Modern Warfare 2 sold 4.7 million copies in its 1st 24 hours at retail, and while the guys are not surprised, they are still impressed. NPD discussion leads into talk of the future of Activision’s various peripheral laden franchises.
Voice/emails covering topics such as violence in games to Sony lawsuits spur discussion before this week’s homework, which is to donate to the Child’s Play Charity.
