Shawn Andrich is back in the driver seat this week for an RPG-heavy show. Dragon Age has had a monopoly on the guys’ game time, and Michael Zenke is sitting-in to contribute his views on the game. Bioware’s marketing leading up to the games release instilled some doubts about the game, but everyone agrees that it is everything that they hoped it would be. Also, all story spoilers are being avoided here, so listen freely.
Although Dragon Age was released on consoles and PC, the PC version is the center of attention here. Shawn’s wife has been has been playing the Xbox 360 version and he says that the differences are appropriate and intelligently implemented to make each version specifically suited to the platform. Rob is the only person to have any real gripe about the game which is related to release day DLC.
After a quick weekly topic centered around the changing landscape of PC games, the show jumps to a pre-recorded interview which Cory Banks conducted with the designers of Torchlight. There is a lot of insight into the game’s production here and it is well-worth a listen.
The show closes on emails and news that a Gamers with Jobs iPhone app is now available on iTunes for $1.99.
