Halloween dominates the first part of this week’s episode of The Geekbox, which is ironic because none of the guys seem to really be interested in celebrating the holiday. Brock Sager joins the podcast yet again in Mike Cruz’s absence and talks a bit about how high school students still use Halloween as a way to get free candy. Ryan Scott discusses the Saw film franchise and dares to suggest that Christopher Nolan’s Riddler might be similar to the Jigsaw killer, fitting in that much darker Batman universe.
Arkham Horror leads the discussion into board games, with both Ryan’s saying that the game is nearly as complex as Dungeons and Dragons. Somehow, Monopoly becomes the topic of choice and a fierce debate rages between Karen and Ryan Scott about the impact of the free parking house rule.
Games definitely take a backseat in this episode, but some talk about I Made A Game With Zombies In It manages to squeak by as well as a brief conversation about addictive games.
Wherein we discuss Halloween festivities, porno candy, horror movies, Arkham Horror (and why Ryan Scott sucks at running games), free parking, really hard achievements, videogame addiction, I Made A Game With Zombies In It, holiday madness, Lego Indiana Jones 2, sequelitis, and the Prince of Persia movie trailer. Starring Ryan Scott, Karen Chu, Andrew Fitch, Ryan Higgins, and Brock Sager.
