Things start out with the indie game Captain Forever. Anthony and Tyler sound like they have had some fun with the game, but they feel like the $15 asking price is a little high. Anthony had a chance to see some of the single player portion of Bioshock 2 and he shares some spoiler-free impressions here. After some quick Torchlight experiences, the guys touch upon Civilization, Windows 7 and Modern Warfare 2. Tyler also shares some Eufloria thoughts.
Things take a sharp turn in the second half. The guys had a chance to visit Children’s Miracle Network cancer ward in Houston Texas and interview a few families about there experiences dealing with cancer. This is an extreme departure in tone from a regular Rebel FM episode, and while it isn’t exactly a fun listen, it’s admirable that the guys took on such an important cause. There are some pictures of the trip up on the eat. sleep. game. post, along with some information about what you can do to help. You can also donate via the Rebel FM special Children’s Miracle Network donation page.
Covered games and topics: Captain Forever, Bioshock 2, Torchlight, Civilization, Windows 7, MW2 server issue, Eufloria, Children’s Miracle Network cancer ward
This episode is very special for us. While it starts off with the standard game talk, covering things like Captain Forever, Torchlight, and some Civ. Rev., it transitions into something unlike what we’ve ever done before. We recently traveled to Houston, Texas to tour a Children’s Miracle Network cancer ward. While there, we interviewed children and their families, and have put that, along with a talk that includes Doc from SarcasticGamer.com, into a special second half that is great to listen to for information about pediatric cancer, but also about how you can help.
Donations stay in your area, and if you’re interested in contributing, you can go to our special Children’s Miracle Network donation page, here. Regardless of whether you can donate monetarily, we highly encourage you all to find some way to help someone with cancer.
