Brutal Legend is the first game discussed this week with Lara Crigger joining the podcast and offering here rather negative opinion. Other seem content with passing over the “mediocre” gameplay since the story and characterization is so strong. Panzer General: Allied Assault has a couple of the guys excited, and Borderlands has converted a few more. Sean Sands and Shawn Andrich have been playing the game, but Shawn is saving the conversation until next week so Sean Sands can join in.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and Uncharted 2 are touches on before the group launches into the weekly topic of scary games. Lara talks about Fatal Frame and the discussion moves towards the different approaches towards making a scary game. Monster closets are deemed as never being good and werewolves and vampires are dismissed as never being able to achieve the level of zombies.
Emails close out the show, but stick around for a spoiler-filled segment where the group talks about Bioshock. They go deep into the story, so beware.
