The Totally Rad Show – Episode 136: Finger Twister
2:36 am October 27th, 2009
Halloween is upon us, so the TRS boys have taken this opportunity to dress up and Dan clearly wins this one with some good ‘ol PBS love.
Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant is the movie this week and Dan is the only one who has good things to say about it. It looks like it skews young, but there may be some enjoyment to glean from it. When and why did John C. Reilly go from Paul Thomas Anderson films to Will Ferrel comedies and children’s movies?
The Game with a Name segment returns, this time with Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat of Paranormal Activity. Of course, the group had to go with the Ouija Board as their “game” choice. There are some interesting bits about the production of the film here, including the fact that they shot over 70 hours of footage and had no script.
The game segment is filled with love for Borderlands. All 3 of the guys had a great time with the game and equate it to an MMO. Dan goes on to say that he thinks that this will be remember as a milestone in the development of game mechanics in how it handles player feedback.
Halloween Spooktacular! We summon demons with the cast of Paranormal Activity, team up to explore Borderlands, and freak out to a haunted house simulator! Plus, is Cirque du Freak the next Harry Potter?
