This week’s Bombcast is crashed by Capcom’s Adam Boyes and freelancer John Vignocchi who bring along with them some champagne which makes for a crowded, at times even nonsensical show. Most of the first part of the show is taken up by John telling various stories that may or may not come back to haunt him later. Adam stays quiet for most of the time but doesn’t hesitate to crack open the alcohol.
Getting into what they have been playing, Brad’s time has been eaten up solely by Uncharted 2 which, like many people, he feels is one of the best games in recent memory. A slight argument then ensues between Vinny and most of the rest of the table about whether Uncharted or Batman: Arkham Asylum has a better single player experience. Ryan mentions that he doesn’t want to get into talking about Brutal Legend that much, but then proceeds to discuss it for at least 10 minutes.
Starting out News of the World with the successful sales of Halo 3: ODST leads slightly off-topic to discussion of Modern Warfare 2 and how much fun a few of the guys will be having with their night vision goggles. Ryan backtracks a bit to talk about the events he and Brad went to for Left 4 Dead 2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The show finishes out with a few rushed emails including one that leads to a small pinball discussion.
Covered games and topics: embarrassing stories, champagne, Uncharted 2, Batman, Halo series, night vision, dogging, pinball
Capcom’s Adam Boyes and freelance troublemaker John Vignocchi join the crew for some rowdy, champagne-fueled shouting about the downfall of Midway, Demon’s Souls, Forza 3, Chuck D, Brutal Legend, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and more in this week’s Bombcast!

This show has my full support. Johnny V! What an episode to succeed Listen UP, huh? Strong beginning to the new era of the Giant Bombcast.
Johnny V was hilarious. He seems to have a 5 minute lead-up story for everything. I don’t know if it would be great to have him on too often though.
Yeah, Johnny V seemed like a nice guy and was an interesting guest, but after listening to this episode I felt like I didn’t come away with much. Tasted great but wasn’t filling.
