The Totally Rad Show – Episode 134: Negative Fun

by Jonathan Downin in Games, MoviesOctober 13th, 2009 @ 12:27 am

The Totally Rad ShowCouples Retreat is the first movie this week and it is safe to say that all 3 of the guys enjoyed it. Everyone had some problems with it, but the consensus seems to be that it is worth watching even if you wait until it’s available on Netflix. Bronson doesn’t go over quite as well with even Jeff, who generally enjoys more experimental type films, calling it too avant garde for even him.

Book-ending the games section this week is a segment that follows the guys on a “Bungie hike.” In light of the recent release of Halo 3: ODST, Bungie sent the guys to go bungee jumping and Jeff and Alex had a blast. If you are a long time fan of TRS, this may not be a surprise, but Dan sits this one out.

LucasArts’s Lucidity has the guys excited about its presentation in the games section this week, but the final verdict isn’t pretty. All 3 of the guys have some problems with the game which come to a point with Jeff describing it as deviously difficult. Dan coins this week’s episode title by saying he actually had “negative fun” with the game. The guys also discuss the prospects for Epic Mickey.

Does our relationship work with Couples Retreat? Does Bronson give us a death wish? Is Lucidity sublime? What is Disney doing with Mickey Mouse on the Wii? Plus, we risk our LIVES!!

Runtime – 53:32
