Mobcast 24

The Mobcast crew is back with all new audio equipment and they are sounding great. The show is infinitely more listenable and the sound quality is now inline with the content quality.

Jason Ocampo, who mysteriously vanished from IGN and Command Prompt a few months ago, is on this week, but don’t expect any details on what happened. His topic is up first this week and covers unnecessary multiplayer modes being bolted onto games.

Pre-order bonuses have the guys upset before the topic of ultra-violence and gore in games is discussed. Demian brings up Dragon Age and talks about the gratuitous use of blood spatter in the game. Bioware seems to be going a little “extreme” for many people’s taste recently. The trend of analyst predictions receiving a lot of coverage gets some time before the group finishes with their favorite real time strategy games.

Bitmob’s Dan Hsu, Demian Linn, and Aaron Thomas are joined by industry veteran Jason Ocampo, who you may know from both GameSpot and IGN. On this episode the gang discuss current gaming trends, unnecessary multiplayer, gory games, overrated analysts, and their favorite real-time-strategy games.
