In this episode of Scene Unseen, Chris and Jimmy bring you a pretty light show, with more commentary on the latest Pearl Jam concert that Chris attended than on this week’s film, Zombieland. The concert sounds like it was a great experience, however, so if you’re in the same cultural camp as these guys you’re likely to enjoy the Chris’s short recap.
Zombieland doesn’t receive the same rave reviews that you might have heard on this week’s /Filmcast, though the final call is ultimately positive. Jimmy isn’t too sure about the remix between horror and comedy, though he admits that he enjoyed Shaun of the Dead. Chris thinks that the film doesn’t really benefit from the theater experience like most horror films do, so he recommends that a potential viewer save it for watching at home with some friends.
At the end of the show, the guys note that their posting schedule is bound to be a little spotty for the coming month, due to their colliding business schedules. They do tease reviews of a couple indie films, though, so keep an ear out.
This week, Chris and Jimmy thumb a ride to Zombieland and face down bloody vomit, orifice leakage, decapitated noggins, ravaged limbs, and other beautiful benefits of the un-dead.
