It’s the final episode of Listen Up with Garnett leaving to head-up GameFly media. He has been a staple at 1UP since the beginning. In a lot of ways, the 1UP podcasts are what defined 1UP and brought them the community they now have so his departure will certainly have a significant impact.
Garnett finally got around to playing Yakuza 2 and the group discusses that before moving onto Uncharted 2. Left 4 Dead 2 gets some time with David talking about some of the new modes. Pixel Junk Monsters Deluxe leads into a general discussion about the PSPgo and Garnett points out that it looks like a gadget from 5 years ago. David had a chance to go hands-on with New Super Mario Bros. Wii and he shares some positive impressions here.
A good chunk of the show is taken up by the classic 4 Minute Warning segment with a lot of topics centering around games journalism. As things move towards wrapping up, the group discusses their favorite memories and past shows and Garnett and John talk about going to Shacknews and GamePro respectively. Garnett has always been emotional and not to shy to let loose a few tears, and that trend continues here. Things are going to change, especially around 1UP, but it seems like everyone agrees that this is a good thing.

Oh man, until I really got into the Giant Bombcast this was my favourite podcast. Bye bye, looking forward to Garnetts new show and also what David will do next with the 1up podcast. I thnik he can step up.
