There is no narrative this week and next week’s show will be shorter with the guys taking a small break to gear up for the busy holiday release schedule and the premier of season 3.
Dead Space Extraction starts the show out this week and impressions are positive all around. EA has been billing this as a guided experience, as opposed to an on-rails shooter, and it looks like this distinction is made with good reason. Ryan says he almost feels like this could be a new genre for the Wii.
Tokyo Game Show talk takes a huge chunk of the middle section with David Ellis of 1UP giving his impressions of the show. He stresses time and time again that its weird to go to Japan to see mostly Western games. Final Fantasy XIII and The Last Guardian were the only Japanese games of note at the show, with Crackdown 2 and Dead Rising 2 being the biggest draws. This may be the last big coverage of TGS we see this year.
Scribblenauts closes out the episode with Justin Haywald of 1UP and Matt sharing the now common sentiment of being disappointed with the execution of the game.
