This episode came out 4 days late, but it’s here. There are a lot of topics covered this week with the guys starting out with the leaked image of Microsoft codename “Pink” phones. This is supposedly coming out of the Danger, makers of the SideKick, which Microsoft acquired a couple years ago. Ryan thinks that if this ends-up being a messaging-centered smartphone that it may have a chance at digging into the iPhone market for teens. Microsoft rumored Courier brings tablets back into the discussion as well.
The somewhat lackluster says of the Pre leads into a discussion about Palm being chided by the USB-IF for circumventing iTunes’s Apple product-only syncing. The pair agree that this won’t change much though. The rent TGS announcements get a little time before Intel’s Light Peak technology gets some discussion. AT&T charging for in-home 3G MicroCells rubs the guys the wrong way and the show closes out on the Barnes & Noble tied iRex DR800SG.
We’re running a little late this week, but we’ve up on Microsoft’s supposedly-forthcoming Turtle and Pure “Pink” phones, the Courier tablet concept, Palm‘s lackluster Pre sales and the USB-IF’s call on their spat with Apple over iTunes syncing. Also up: the PS3 Motion Controller’s spring 2010 debut, Nintendo Wii price drops to $200, Intel‘s Light Peak optical bus sees first light, some trouble swallowing femtocells, HP‘s new DreamScreens, Moxi-maker Digeo’s acquisition for a mere $20m, and the latest connected e-book reader, the iRex Digital Reader DR800SG.
Oh, and don’t forget our meetup in New York this Thursday, you won’t want to miss it.
