After a thrilling conversation about fluoride, Jimmy kicks off the conversation straight into the marketing strategy of this week’s film, The Informant! Our “unseen” host is quick to point out the stellar cast, a sentiment Chris readily agrees with, citing Matt Damon, Joel McHale, and Scott Bakula. The conversation turns to the film’s bland, unoriginal poster design, which is admittedly far too similar to that of The 40 Year Old Virgin.
Chris enjoyed the film, pointing to the interesting music, dark comedy aspects, and compelling plot. Both guys agree that the director Steven Soderbergh has a good enough pedigree that he should drive your foot in the door, regardless of the premise. Either way, it seems like The Informant! isn’t the typical corporate espionage film, so it’s worth checking out.
