Command Prompt Episode 62

by Jonathan Downin in GamesSeptember 23rd, 2009 @ 6:48 pm

Command PromptIt’s an uneventful week in PC games and a fairly dry episode of Command Prompt. Whether you loved him or hated him, you have to admit that Jason Ocampo made this podcast more interesting.

Jeff has been playing through Dragon Age: Origins and it sounds like just the kind of game that old-school Bioware fans are looking for. Steve and Marissa have been putting some time into Aion and it sounds like it may be worth a look– at least until Cataclysm comes out next year. The PC version of Borderlands has been delayed by 6 days, and this has the group a little confused.

After touching on banning of Left 4 Dead 2 in Australia the discussion moves to the recently “announced” The Witcher 2. A rendered video for the game was allegedly leaked, but Jeff and Marissa speculate that it may have been purposefully let out by the developer to spark publisher interest.

Covered games and topics: Dragon Age: Origins, Aion, Borderlands delayed 6 days, Left 4 Dead 2 banned in Australia, The Witcher 2, emails, gamepad vs. mouse+keyboard

Well, it looks like we’ve got another episode of Command Prompt – or should we say, Command Delay, Episode 2? Anyway, while we’ve been busy at events for the past two weeks, which have thrown off our regularly scheduled podcast time, we’ve still been working hard at gathering the latest news on upcoming PC and MMO games. Jeff covers some of the choices available to Grey Wardens in Dragon Age, while Marissa explains the latest from the realm of Aion. Both games play heavily in our recent Games of Fall feature, and the team spends time covering why these titles are the ones to keep an eye on. Plus, Borderlands gets delayed for a week, Australia has something against zombies and we get to your questions.
