This week’s CAGcast kicks off with Cheapy recounting a bit of his trip to NYC that he had forgotten to mention last week including how thankful he was that he went for business class tickets. Cheapy also read a couple of emails that voiced their displeasure for them taking time out the previous week to talk about Howard Stern, to which Cheapy completely dismissed and called it one of the greatest experiences of his life.
Both Cheapy and Wombat then discuss some new releases which include the two NHL titles, and go very quickly into NPDs for last month, of which they were pleasantly surprised that Batman: Arkham Asylum was up at #2. From there they discussed how they both picked up and played through The Beatles: Rock Band, but Cheapy feels that it is a bit lacking with multiple full albums still to come. They also discuss the EA media stunt of sending a $200 check to gaming press outlets and how Cheapy feels it was good, cheap marketing as any press is good press.
Starting off responses to tweets, both of the guys agree that the current gaming norm of having unlimited lives trumps the old school way of having only 3 lives per game. Cheapy then responds to an inquiry as to how he shaves his head and also reveals he was a big sports and PC gamer back in college.
