The first movie this week is the 3D animated, post-apocalyptic 9. Alex enjoyed it a lot citing the adult-oriented nature of the storytelling, but Dan and Jeff aren’t quite as high on it with Jeff having a few problems with the actual visual quality of the film. A movie that the whole group can agree on is Whiteout, which no one liked.
The second segment this week has the guys talking to a PAX audience about some of their favorite games of the show including 2 smaller titles, Shank and DeathSpank. The Beatles: Rock Band fills the regular video game segment and the opinions aren’t quite as glowing as many have been in the games press. All 3 of the guys agree that it really feels like this should have been some sort of expansion pack and it really hurts that these songs can’t be imported into the regular Rock Band games.
There are some big changes coming to The Totally Rad Show next week including a freshened-up aesthetic and some possible slight format changes. It should be cool to see where the guys are taking the show in episode 131.
