Greg Ford again takes the reins this week with Dan still out for unknown reasons. Also, community member Lance Darnell is invited on and has a lot to add to the conversation, with Michael Donahoe carrying the more casual tourch which he firmly picked up last week.
The ridiculousness of the Batman world record title is discussed before the guys go onto discuss the their most anticipated titles of the holiday season. All the big titles get a mention, but the excitement level for Halo ODST is rather low, and this seems to be an industry-wide sort of opinion despite the amazing live-action trailer for the game.
Michael puts out a theory that for many, talking about video games has been tied to the Xbox 360 in recent years much how many refer to all carbonated beverages as “Coke.” This leads in a discussion about how 2010 may shift that more towards the PS3. The cast wraps up with individual picks of games that introduced each to gaming and Lance whips out the amazing “Canadian” pronunciation of Galaga as “Ga-laaga.”
Bitmobbers Greg Ford, Michael Donahoe, and Brett Bates join forces with community all-star Lance Darnell to try and fill the shoes of Shoe, who was too busy fighting crime and saving babies to be on the podcast this week.
On this episode of the Mobcast, the gang discuss must-have holiday games, ponder Batman world records, speculate if 2010 is the year of the PS3, improvise video game concepts, and reveal the gateway titles that got them hooked on gaming.

It’s good to see the Mobcast welcome a community member from time to time. I know I had a great time when I was on and I’m sure Lance did as well.
Totally agreed, Lance was actually a really great addition to the crew, I hope they ask him on again. Now I just have to start posting more on Bitmob so I can get my brush with fame. >.>
