The Beatles: Rock Band is the first game up this week. It has received almost universal praise from the podcast community and has us excited for a future where Linkin Park: Rock Band might exist.
PAX has dominated the gaming podcast scene for the past week and we do our best to point out some of the better coverage out there. This leads into a discussion about the GFW Radio panel and we share our love for that dearly missed podcast. A few memories of the Dreamcast and Sega get thrown out in light of the 10th anniversary of its release and we lose some street-cred with only 1 of us having actually owned the system. The PS3 also gets its due time with the incredible numbers it posted in the August NPDs.
In the tech section we discuss last week’s Apple event and are generally confused about what the strategy seems to be with the new iPods and in the quick movie section Jon has no love for Gamer– outside of Michael C. Hall.
Thanks for listening and chime in with your thoughts in the comments.

hmm … maybe they’ll come out with a cut of Gamer that only shows the scenes featuring michael c. hall. i would totally rent that.
keep up the good work guys
Ellen – Kind of like when I watch Matrix: Reloaded and just skip to the action scenes? At the least, it cuts down on the run time.
Thanks for listening to the show, and definitely let us know if there’s anything we need to work on.
Erik, sometimes I just watch that caveman rave scene over and over. Best action ever.
Ha! For some reason, that makes me think that someone must have made a remix of that scene with the cavemen panic scene at the start of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Or am I couple years too late on that one?
my question is why are either of you rewatching the matrix: reloaded … :/
I can see the conversation here has devolved.
Now all I can think about is what it would have been like if Michael C. Hall played the parts of the two albino guys in The Matrix: Reloaded.
Thanks for listening Ellen!
