After a two week hiatus while CheapyD was stateside, he and Wombat are back for another edition of the CAGcast. The majority of the first part of the show is taken up by Cheapy discussing his time in New York as well as the duo’s guest appearance on the Howard Stern Show, which was won from an eBay charity auction. Cheapy admits being a bit nervous, but that everyone at the show was very friendly, and that this was one of his dreams come true. The segment on Stern is tacked on to the end of the show.
The two discuss the Cheap Ass Gamer iPhone app and hope to have it out sometime this week, but almost expect it to get kicked back for having “ass” in the title. A quick look at deals of the week shows that Toys R Us has been on fire lately by throwing in gift cards and extras with their games. Like many others, both CheapyD and Wombat have been making their way through Batman: Arkham Asylum and share in the outpouring of love for the title. Cheapy calls it his game of the year so far and Wombat seems to pretty much agree.
A brisk run through the news lead to brief discussions of Marvel/Disney and the “Sexbox” after a slight digression into the antics of Cheapy and Wombat’s children. The CAGbag ends the show with CheapyD answering an often asked question about what language his son will be learning since he lives in Japan and only speaks English.
