There is not too much news in the world of Playstation with not many new releases and the calm after the PS3 announcement. One thing that did come out this week is the PS3 3.0 firmware update, but it is not all good news. The friends list has been updated for the worse and the guys are not happy about it.
The PS3 has received interactive themes for the XMB with Little Big Planet, Afrika, Pixel Junk Monsters among the games represented. They are $3 a piece, but add some character to the usually dull, but functional menu system.
The announcement of the God of War and God of War II being re-released in a PS3-ified package has the guys thinking about what other games may get this special treatment. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are universal favorites, but due to the developers complete control of anything he puts out, it is probably unlikely that it will happen. What PS2 games would you like to see prettied-up for release on PS3?
The most incredible news just came in today! Sam is alive! Thank goodness! With IGN’s most crazed freelancer finally back in the office, Chris, Greg and Ryan proceed on with yet another episode of the one and only Podcast Beyond. Today, the team discusses the most recent firmware update for the PlayStation 3: Ver. 3.00. What does it do? How does the team like it? These questions and more are answered.
Also, Ryan attempts the first ever Beyond song performed in three different languages. Oh my.
