World of Warcraft starts the conversation off this week. Although the guys are not regular players of the game, the forthcoming expansion has them excited about the idea of starting a new character and leveling through the new character progression. They site how much Blizzard has learned about making compelling quests over the past 5 years as a reason that the new character progression will be highly improved and worth checking out.
Batman takes up a good chunk of time following the WoW talk with the group universally impressed by the game. While there are some minor complaints about the stealth mechanics, everyone can agree that the game overall is incessantly entertaining.
The topic of the week has the guys asking themselves 7 questions that need to be answered positively for a game to be considered good. This concept is based off developer Warren Spector‘s questions he created for a lecture that need to be answered positively for a potential game to be worth developing. There are a lot of interesting ideas flying around ranging from topics of aesthetics to series vs. new IP.
