Madden 10 is getting some good press with it’s latest iteration, Madden 10. It sounds like the game has made progress in almost all areas and is the biggest leap in quality in years. If you really care about Madden, you were probably going to get it anyway though.
Blizzard has stated that the main reason for the StarCraft 2 delay is their Battle.net service. It is rumored that with the release of StarCraft 2, Battle.net will be completely relaunched as not only a matchmaking service, but as an online service similar to Valve’s Steam. If anyone can challenge Valve on that front, Blizzard seems like the best contender.
Activision has quickly become a company who appears to be unable to sell a big game without a huge peripheral or crazy pack-in. Just looking at this fall’s releases there are Tony Hawk RIDE, Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero and Modern Warfare 2. The guys have more than a few things to say about this trend and then move onto future hardware and motion controller speculation.
