As the guys mention right up front, it seems like it is almost impossible for all 4 guys to be on at the same time these days. Richard is attempting to build his own joystick for fighters so no one can ever say he is not a real gamer/geek.
There have been images circulating around the internet showing an Xbox 360 Arcade box that is missing the Xbox 360 Pro listing and only shows the Arcade and Elite versions. This has led to speculation that Microsoft may be trimming the lineup to just these 2 packages. This would make a good counter to Sony’s rumored price drop if the Elite were also to drop to the Pro version’s $299 price point.
The first batch of “Games on Demand” has been announced, and while the selection is decent, the prices seem a little high at $30 for some games that are now available at retail for $20. It seems that there is an inferred “convenience tax” built-in by some publishers.
Covered topics and games: Overlord 2, Richard building a joystick, no more Xbox 360 Pro model, first games on demand titles, Netflix functionality, Left 4 Dead DLC, emails, Project Natal
We got an email not to long ago claiming that it was impossible to get all four hosts of the Fancast nowadays. Given the fact that we are once again short one member (Xav) this week, we’re starting to agree. Whether it’s some sort of curse that has been placed upon us or simple bad timing, who’s to say?
Apart from our missing cohort, we discuss a bevy of interesting topics this week, including the possible phasing out of the 360 Pro console and a surefire way to make Alexander hate you during a match of Battlefield 1943. All this an more lies before you in this, the 129th episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast. Download it!
