The new format of having 4 guys, 4 topics and one community topic seems to be doing well for the Mobcast. 5 topics felt like it didn’t afford each topic the amount of time it required, and 5 people seemed like it didn’t allow anyone to get a full thought across before someone else jumped in. This is much better.
Jay Frechette, from Area5, is on this week with Aaron Thomas back after his appearance last week. The first topic up is in regards to the recent game delays that have left the holiday season somewhat sparse. The general feeling is that there are still plenty of great titles coming out this year and that the delays will cause there to be a lot to play at the beginning of next year as well.
The final topic is in regards to games eliciting emotional responses and has the guys sharing which games have touched them over the years. Zelda seems to be a series, Ocarina of Time specifically, that is a big one for everyone. A few others get mentioned as well. It’s surprising that neither Ico and Shadow of the Collosus came up here. What games have affected you emotionally?
On this week’s Mobcast Dan Hsu, Demian Linn, Aaron Thomas, and Jay Frechette discuss the recent slew of game delays, games that make them emotional, guilty-pleasure games, their ability to beat old-school games, and question their need for night-vision goggles.
