Even though Hilary is out this week, the TRL crew is still able to talk about cougars, 80′s pop culture, and do horrible impersonations while occasionally actually talking about 360 games. There isn’t any agenda, and they cover a lot of random topics, but it’s an entertaining hour if you have the time.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is the only notable release for the 360 this week during its “Summer of Arcade” series. But with the recent release of Blazblue, King of Fighters 12 and the older Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, none of the crew are too excited about the newest 2D fighter update. In other news, Dave Claemon and Erik Brudvig are 2 of the few journalists still playing Halo Wars, and they think the recent accidental leaderboard wipe might have been caused by Erik’s 360 red-ringing during a game.
Charles ‘Mr. Slime’ Onyett has good things to say about Borderlands and its 83 bajillion guns, and it will be facing off in the busy fall schedule with Halo ODST, Guitar Hero 5, Rock Band: Beatles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, Forza 3, Brutal Legend, and Shadow Complex all still scheduled for this year.
The rest of the show features some talk about Valve’s games and release schedules, Milo, and wrestling games, then finishes with a call to Jason Ocampo for more horrible impersonations. The show misses something without Hilary, but they’re still able to stay funny.
