We get another Game Scoop this week, but there is no Greg Miller! How can we get by without the classic Greg Miller enthusiasm and the Knockin’ Boots segment?
This week we do get introduced to one of the newest members of the IGN team, news editor Jim Reilly. It sounds like if you want to get a job at a big game news organization you should only sleep hours at a time in case game news happens to come out. Hmm, sounds pretty familiar.
It is obviously a slow time for news and releases so we get a lot of reader emails on this episode.
Covered games and topics: Jim Reilly, Beatles: Rock Band, Summer of Arcade on XBLA, Nintendo DemoPlay, emails
It’s Daemon Hatfield, Jeremy Dunham, Kristine Steimer, David Clayman, and Jim Reilly this week. Jim is our new News Editor, and a big retro gamer. Find out why he sleeps on the floor.
On tap this week:
IGN Australia has reviewed Wii Sports Resort, and they weren’t too crazy about it.
Heard of the PSN game Shatter? If not, you will soon.
Microsoft has announced the release dates for its second annual Summer of Arcade.
Battlefield 1943 is here, despite a couple stumbles.
Plus, we answer a bunch of listener mail about cooking, MMOs, and Half-Life 2: Episode 3. Don’t forget, we’re available on iTunes, along with episodes of Game Scoop! TV. Remember to rate the shows while you’re there.
