The news of Google developing their own operating system is, by far, the biggest news of the week. There has been a lot of speculation about this, but no one saw this announcement coming when it did. There are a lot of questions and with a 1 1/2 until its release, there is plenty of time for information to trickle out.
Sony is finally dipping the toes in the netbook arena with the Vaio W. The guys have not gotten hands-on with it yet, but they are a little down on its high price and somewhat cheap-looking aesthetics.
An image that is rumored to be a Dell mobile internet device based on Android has leaked. It doesn’t look to be anything groundbreaking so what is the point?

We’re back with our first regular show since launching the site! Things are a little mid-summer-slow right now, but that didn’t stop Google from taking the chance to blow a few minds by announcing its Chrome OS for netbooks. Unfortunately, it won’t be out until the second half of next year — but in the here and now Sony launched its $500 Vaio W netbook, Palm officially started prepping for the launch of the GSM Pre, and Lenovo’s ThinkPad T400s are making their way to eager hands (including our own).
