Xbox 360 Fancast 124 — Sweatin’ It

by Jonathan Downin in GamesJune 29th, 2009 @ 11:16 pm

Xbox 360 FancastThe guys are talking about a comment made by the legendary Michael Pachter that Twitter, Facebook and last.fm were the biggest announcements for Microsoft at E3.  They don’t seem to be completely on-board with the idea, but Richard does make some points that Microsoft wants to make the Xbox a centralized computing device more than gaming machine, and in that sense, it does make sense.

The developer of the Xbox Community game is saying that releasing games in that capacity is not fanancially viable and that it should be used to put out prototypes and proof-of-concepts exclusively.  Then that release can be used to drum up publisher support.  Too bad, but that sounds about right.

EA’s Peter Moore has said EA is very interested in developing for Project Natal.  Hopefully they can have some goo stuff ready for the assumed Fall 2010 release.

Covered topics and games: Prototype, Twitter on Xbox 360, Lips mic $50, Clover, Crackdown 2, EA interested in Project Natal

Once again, we provide you, our dear listeners, witha fresh episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast. This week, we chat about important console features, ODST and more. We also take quite a bit of time discussing Natal and whether or not the act of sweating makes a game better. Alexander submits that it does not. Download the latest episode and enjoy.
