Engadget Podcast 152 – 06.26.2009: The Day the Music Died 2

The new Nokia N97 rules the first part of this week’s podcast.  The write-up over at Engadget is something pretty special, so if you have 20 minutes, go check that out.  Long story short, it’s okay, but don’t call it a comeback.

The official pricing for Windows 7 has been released by Microsoft and there are so many things going wrong here that it’s hard to comprehend.  How is it that Microsoft can continually be so clueless about how they should market their products?  Vista was a flop, get people onto Windows 7 in a quick and painless fashion.

There is a great discussion about the netbook category and the possible death of the moniker.  Netbooks are quickly inching their ways towards being just cheap notebooks and there is an interesting speculation here about where the market might be headed.

Join Josh, Paul, Nilay and special guest Chris Ziegler as they deny the Nokia N97, get angry at the HTC Hero, bargain with Windows 7, depress themselves over the fate of the netbook, and finally learn to accept the Zune HD’s Tegra processor. We won’t lie — Engadget Podcast 152 was a struggle, but in the end we all learned a little something about life, love, and forgiveness.
