The Android platform is finally starting to get some new handsets other than the G1. The HTC Hero and myTouch 3G are talked about here with multitouch being worked into the mix even though Android doesn’t support it natively.
Inexplicably there is some printer talk on this week. It’s obvious that we don’t really need printers to do much more than print things as easily, flexibly and fast as possible. We don’t need touchscreen printers.
The guys keep teasing the launch of gdgt.com so it must be close. I think we are all anxious to see what the site is going to be. Head on over and pre-register so you are all ready.

Well, HTC and Android sure had a big week: not only did T-Mobile announce the myTouch 3G (aka Magic / Ion), but HTC’s long-awaited Hero made a splash with the first implementations of multi-touch and Flash Lite on the platform. Also floating around: HP’s new web-connected (and supposedly very “photo,” “smart,” and “touch”-oriented) printer, and Lenovo’s sleek but powerful ThinkPad T400s. Oh, and just a reminder: if you haven’t already signed pre-registered for gdgt, get it on! You won’t be sorry.
