With the craziness of E3 ramping up, we missed the last Player One Podcast, but we got the guys’ E3 thoughts on this one and there are plenty going around.  The POP guys are some of the few that found the Sony conference to be stronger than Microsoft’s briefing.  This is largely due to their low level of interest in Project Natal it seems.

Shadow Complex, a smaller game which you may have missed during the E3 coverage, is getting a lot of attention.  It is basically a Metroidvania (Metroid/Castlevania) style game with updated 3D visuals and 2.5D gameplay.  Those that have gotten their hands on it report that it feels good and the guys seem to be excited about it here as well.

The Nintendo conference, while better than last year’s, was still a bit disappointing.  One shining ray of hope was presented in Metroid: Other M being developed by Team Ninja though.  The game looks pretty slick and the idea of a non-Prime Metroid game is something a lot of people are looking forward to.
