The Zune HD is dominating tech news in recent days and the gdgt guys have a lot to say about it. Ryan had a chance to see it in person and according to him the screen is very crisp and the device itself makes the iPod Touch seem big in comparison. The user interface is also said to be quite slick.
With the Palm Pre launch just a week away there have been a lot of developments including Verizon comnig out and saying that they will have the Pre within 6 months. As Ryan laments, that’s not a cool move on Verizon’s part. Palm is already struggling a bit and they are sure to sell less on Sprint because of this.
On a lighter note, we got in on some of the gdgt sticker action so thanks to Peter and Ryan for being generous enough to send those out.
It wasn’t a small week for gadgets between the Zune HD finally getting official (and we’ve got the inside dirt, as well as hands-on impressions), the Pre’s newfound iTunes syncing and plans for Verizon in 2010 laid bare, and Cupcake finally landing on our G1s. Unfortunately, not everyone made it out alive: OQO officially shut down and Psystar filed bankruptcy.
