MacBreak Weekly 142: Oops, I Bought It

MacBreak WeeklyScott has received some juicy information about a potential future iPhone from an informant from within Verizon.  There aren’t too many details, but obviously the information includes that it will be on Verizon and that it will be announced in June.  The guys do speculate that this could be a power play by Apple to get better terms with AT&T.

iLounge has claims that Apple is planning an update to the iPod nano that would transition it to having a true widescreen display and a camera.  Apple adding a camera to all their devices could be a interesting new standard to their line-up.

Apple has put up $1 billion to build a new server farm in North Carolina.  When this news broke many speculated that it must be related to a new service that Apple has in the wings, but Alex shares that their current needs could be enough to justify this.

Psystar, the company that was making Mac clone machines, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.  This puts their current litigation with Apple on hold, but more interestingly, it may require Psystar’s anonymous backers to be named.

A Verizon iPhone, Apple’s NC server farm, Psystar bankrupt, CES, and more.
