We have something a little different for you here called Cast in the Crowd. Although we usually cover the big releases from the bigger podcasts, we also want to be a place where you can find up-and-coming podcasts that you may not have heard of or simply don’t have the time to search out.
In this first installment we are highlighting Crunch Time Podcast. It is one of those podcasts that is a cut above most of the other small and new ones out there.
CTP is a game podcast comprised of 2 guys, Jeremy Bogdan and Brendan Kelly. The format is pretty typical in that they cover the week’s big news, have a what you’ve been playing segment and also a weekly topic. The rather normal format works here though with intelligent discussion and enjoyably banter. Plus, these guys like Queen, so they must be smart.
They have only had 17 episodes, but it has been a strong start. In addition to providing commentary on their own, they also have had some rather big name guests on the show including Jeff Cannata, John Davison, Karen Chu, and others. We wouldn’t recommend it if it wasn’t worth checking out, so go and give the latest episode a listen, it just may keep you coming back for more.

Well we did it, we finally prioritized and realized that making asses of ourselves comes first for you people. We will try and do a song weekly, but if this litmus test has showed us anything, it takes a LOOONG time. On the show this week, social games and how we might see them in the future, along with our review of Mafia Wars for the iPhone and Facebook, and Dragon Wars for Facebook.
