The Geekbox: Episode 13

by Jonathan Downin in GamesApril 25th, 2009 @ 5:52 pm

The GeekboxAs Ryan mentions at the beginning this episode was held until the embargo was up for the Bioshock 2 information.  The ironic thing is the embargo was broken and lifted early, but Ryan still held it– oh well.  Karen was there to see it and lays the story down in fine detail.

Ryan Higgins goes on another one of his classic rants and this time it is about Firefly. He has a serious problem with the whole premise.  He is basically begging for hate mail with this one.

A new series of G.I. Joe cartoons are out and they are called G.I. Joe Resolute.  They are pretty fun, especially if you were into the 80s cartoon, but they are quite a bit more serious.  The art is great and according to the Geekbox crew there are some figures coming out to go with the cartoon as well.

This one wraps up with a little Dragon Ball talk.  Most of the group watched the recently released movie and everyone has something to say about it.

Wherein we discuss the recent BioShock 2 preview event, the Gabrielle Anwar review scale, Master Higgins’ long-overdue viewing of Firefly, Family Guy vs. The Simpsons, the new G.I. Joe Resolute animated shorts, Fitch’s disturbingly thorough knowledge of Dragonball, Lost 5×13 (starting at roughly the 50-minute mark), the joys and fears of turning 30, and Lode Runner on XBLA. Starring Ryan Scott, Karen Chu, Andrew Fitch, Greg Ford, and Ryan Higgins.
