Things are changing around IGN and people have been moved around. This includes Jeff Haynes who is now a part of the PC team and will subsequently land on the Command Prompt podcast next week. But don’t worry, Greg Miller isn’t going anywhere. He is out just out of the office this week so look for him to be back next week.
With E3 quickly approaching the PSP 2 is on everyone’s mind. The guys seem pretty sure that we will hear something about it in June, but are they just reading the same things we are? They have heard about the Gran Turismo team taking a survey about interest in seeing the new GT on a new PSP so maybe that lends some legitimacy to the rumors.
There is no love for Lego Rock Band. It may smack of being a corporate move rather than an artistic one, but it could still be fun. People that work at big offices with Rock Band set-ups are understandably over music games, maybe even sick of them, but that is not the normal circumstance.
Chris and Ryan are the only PlayStation editors in the office today, as Greg is roving the country reporting on games and taking names. On the other hand, Jeff is no longer on the PlayStation Team. He’s made the jump to the PC Team, so today is his farewell episode… but he’s on vacation. So instead of celebrating his finale, the team invites David Clayman and Ryan Geddes to join the show in order to help fill the void. Chris and Ryan get Clayman and Geddes to chime in on Sony’s standing in the world today. How are things looking? What’s E3 going to be all about? These tidbits and more.
And for the curious listener, the constant — and quiet — references to “MAC Blasts” spring from Clements, Geddes and Clayman’s mutual love for Halo Wars. Let it begin.
