Tor Thorsen is on this week’s HotSpot and he is in classic Tor form. One word: intense.
The NPD get some more coverage here with the guys lamenting the poor performance of GTA: Chinatown Wars for DS. DS games tend to have a different sales path in that they tend to do well over a longer timeline than their console counterparts so there may be hope yet.
There is an interview with the original creator/writer, Al Lowe, of the Leisure Suit Larry games wherein he discusses the lack of humor in many years. It is sad that humor has become something seen as unmarketable by publishers. We still have Tim Schafer doing his thing with Brutal Legend coming out though, right?
Tor Thorsen, Chris Watters, Tom Mc Shea, and Brendan Sinclair draw a thin line between tangents and actual topics such as Fallout: New Vegas, a bad month for NPD numbers, M-rated games for the Wii and DS, and Activision’s Scratch lawsuit. And for those who enjoy linearity, a perfectly coherent interview with Leisure Suit Larry creator Al Lowe!
