This is Charles Onyett’s last podcast. He is moving to the Xbox team so he may be appearing on the Three Red Lights podcast.
The guys are talking about the recent announcement of Fallout: New Vegas. This is not a sequel of to Fallout 3, but it takes place during the same time period so it is more of a side-story. It is being made by Obsidian Entertainment which is comprised of some of the original Fallout team.
Valve has released a free downloadable content pack for Left 4 Dead. It makes the two maps that were not available in verses mode playable and adds a new survival mode. There need to be more companies like Valve around.
You know that Bob Dylan song The Times They Are A-Changin’ (it played at the beginning of the movie Watchmen.) Well, the times they are a-changin’ here at IGN PC. There’s been some shuffling, so Charles Onyett has gone to join the Xbox team, while Jeff Haynes is transferring in from the PlayStation team. This is a farewell of sorts to Charles, who may show up on the podcast as a guest in the future.
Meanwhile, this week we talk about the new Left 4 Dead Survival Pack that just came out, the huge news that Obsidian is working with Bethesda to make Fallout: New Vegas, and the multiplayer nightmare that is currently Demigod.
