The announcement of the Rebel T1i from Canon has a lot of people excited, including the gdgt guys. This is the first significant upgrade to the Rebel line in years. It now has a larger 15.1 megapixel sensor, 1080p video recording and a large 3 inch Live View screen. Ryan is not happy about the lack of built-in GPS though.
Dell is interested in getting into the mobile market and ideas of them buying Palm are thrown around here. This seems like it would be a smart move with benefits for both Dell and Palm. The guys are not too sure about that here though.
There is an email from a battery scientist near the end so if you are still not clear on how to best preserve the lifespan of you lithium-ion batteries, this should help.
Things were a little slow this week until Canon perked up some ears with its new T1i (the consumer DSLR which comes packing the 50D’s sensor). We’ve also got Sony Ericsson’s dire straits, Dell’s supposed smartphone toe-dipping, and Blockbuster’s new TiVo deal, so listen in!
