GWJ Conference Call Episode 126

by Jonathan Downin in GamesMarch 11th, 2009 @ 4:47 am

Gamers with JobsUp front there is some love for GTAIV: The Lost & Damned and Empire: Total War.  Although Empire: Total War is the current favorite with the GWJ guys, they express concern about it not being able maintain their interest for an extended period though.

Robert Ashley is the guest on this week’s episode and he continues his streak of elevating the quality of every show that he is on.  He is talking about his podcast A Life Well Wasted and what he is doing with it and what he wants it to be.  Robert shares some of his philosophies about why focusing on the human interest side of gaming is often times so much more interesting than your typical game discussions.

There is a great answer, from a professor at DigiPen Institute of Technology, to a question from a guy wanting to get into the game development field in the voicemail section.  It’s nice that GWJ guys went the extra mile to get an anser from someone with real knowledge in the area.

If you haven’t listened to Gamer with Jobs and like the other big podcasts out there you should give it a listen.  The level of discussion is at the upper tier and the group has a nice flow.  They aren’t the big boys like 1UP or IGN, but they end up sticking to games as a core topic much more than anyone else.

Empire: Total War, GTA IV: The Lost & Damned, Killzone 2, Matt Hazard, Special Guest Robert Ashley, Gaming Culture, A Life Well Wasted, Getting Into the Game Industry, Your Emails and more!
