Jason had a chance to visit Valve last week. While there he got a chance to play the soon to be released free downloadable content for Left 4 Dead which contains a new mode, “survival.” Whereas a typical round lasts around an hour or more, rounds in the new survival game type usually go no longer than 10 minutes. The mode just throws zombies at you until you are dead similar to “Horde mode” in Gears of War 2.
The topic of easier to get into versus complicated games is covered in the mail section and Jason pours on some more Mac love that seems to upset everyone.
Losing an hour really sucks, so the IGN PC Team is still recovering a bit from the shortened weekend. Can you tell? This week, we talk about the cool new Left 4 Dead stuff that Jason got to play at Valve last week. There’s no killing like zombie killing, we tell you. Jason’s Mac love also gets a lot of talking, but dude, he’s getting a Dell! Yup, being desktop-less the last couple months has hurt, so it’s time to put up.
After reviewing every major PC game the past month, Steve did his taxes, and since he’s a family man and responsible and all, he gets a lot of money back. Charles and Jason, meanwhile, get to support his bohemian lifestyle.
