TWiT 179: Retail Therapy

1:15 pm
January 26th, 2009

Right up front the crew is talking about the business prospect of giving content away for free and what that means on the business side of things.  How is it that the big guys don’t understand that getting content out there will almost always have a positive influence on sales?

The 1 second commercial idea for this year’s Super Bowl is interesting.  It’s just another sign of the changing landscape of advertising.

On a technical note, this week’s episode is a little echo-y, quite out of the norm for TWiT.

Update 01/26 @ 6:52 – According to Leo there is a somewhat fixed version up at the link provided here which reduces the echo.

Steve Job’s health, recession tech, Yahoo’s Carol Bartz, Microsoft Songsmith, and more.

Runtime – 1:42:28
